About us.

The World Artistic Dance Federation (WADF) is a non for profit democratic organisation registered in Sweden 2013-04-04 with the Certificate No 802471-4704 at Skattekontoret Mariestad-Skövde.

This section applies to the Personal Information we collect and process from a Member

We will let you know prior to collection whether the provision of Personal Information we are collecting is compulsory or if it may be provided on a voluntary basis and the consequences, if any, of not providing the information. By giving us this information, you agree to this information being collected, used and disclosed as described in our Terms of use  and in this Privacy Policy.

Information you provide us.

When applying for membership you will provide us with the following Personal information:

  1. The name of your Dance School, Dance Club, Dance Team or similar as a Single Member plus the name and Email address of the contact person.

  1. The name of your Dance Federation, Dance Association, Dance Organisation or similar as a Branch Member plus the name and Email address of the contact person.

  1. Your postal address, Email address and web site URL if applicable.

  1. The mobile number of the contact person.
  1. When applying for membership you will create a username and a password for you to access your private data base where your pupils, dancers, competitors are registered by their first and second name, birth date and gender. Only the WADF President and the Master Soft system provider have access to your database to activate or de-activate the dancers making it possible to enrol them to Official WADF Championships.

  1. Use of Members Personal information

We may use the Personal information we collect through our Services for different reasons.

  1. To send out News Letters.

ii. To send out invoices for membership fees and/or license fees.

iii. To communicate with you for different reasons.

iv. To provide, support and improve our Services.

  1. Use of Member’s, Pupil’s, Dancer’s, Competitors Personal Information.

We may use the Personal information of your registered dancers only in connection with enrolments for pupil’s, dancer’s, competitor’s to WADF Official Granted or Recognised Events.

  1. When you enrol a competitor to a Granted or Recognised Event the name of this competitor will be displayed in a start list. You will have access to this start list. The President of the WADF and the Master Soft provider has access to this start list. The start list will be sent to the event organiser after the closing date, who will have access to this start list and also the event scrutineering team.

  1. The name of the competitor could be announced at the event in connection with errors of different kinds, such as not turning up in time of for the start or something is wrong with the music. If successful the name of the competitor will be announced in connection with the price giving ceremony.

  1. The placing of the competitor will be announced in the result list, which will be displayed on the announcement wall at the event and after the event in a result list from the whole event. The result list will not be available officially in our website but will be sent to members on request.

  1. Protection Rights

As a member of the WADF may have the following data protection rights

  1. You have the right, at any time to view all details we have about yourself, Dance School, Dance Club, Dance Team or similar.

  1. You have the right at any time to contact the WADF should you have concerns about our Privacy Policy.
